The events unfolding with Paula Deen has got me thinking about racism and even sexism.
I also saw this article the other day, and was saddened that this kind of thing is still going on. Why do people think it's ok to treat people like they are inferior to you? That they aren't human?
All they were doing was eating. Or waiting to eat. They weren't doing anything wrong.
People are people, no matter what their race, religion, sex, color, etc. is. Just because someone looks different from you, that doesn't mean they are bad people, or anything.
That makes them unique. Beautiful.
I hope people can get past the differences, and see others as the beautiful people they are, and stop judging based on appearances. Then the world wouldn't be as bad a place to live.
Also, people can make mistakes. That's what makes us human. I'm not condoning racist comments or anything like that, but it happens. I just hope people watch their actions and words in the future.
Well, that's all for now. More to come later.
