My 2015 Resolutions

I always make New Year's Resolutions, yet I never keep them. Ever.

Excpet one. Where I drink less soda. That was made about 10 years ago, at least. Since then, I have seldom had any soda (maybe six or seven in all). Before then, I drank it kind of regularly.

So that resolution was a success.

For the new year, I am planning on making resolutions yet again. Hopefully I can actually stick to them.

So, here goes my list of resolutions.

  • Exercise 4 to 5 days a week (Pilates, yoga, some for of cardio, whatever)
  • Cut down junk food consumption by about half
  • Eat one healthier meal a day
  • Cut down electronic use to one to two hours a day
  • Get room cleaned up, and keep it cleaned
  • Get at least a C in my classes
  • Get a job (as soon as possible), and put at least half of money earned from each paycheck in my savings account
  • Get started (and work on) book I want to have published
  • Be more conscious of where I put my possessions, so I don't forget where they are, or lose them
  • Contact my friends in some form (email, text, call, etc.) twice a week
  • Do something once a month, that is out of my comfort zone
  • Take out no more than ten items a week from the library (I tend to take out 30 to 40 items at once, and it gets crazy, so I need to work on taking out less than that)
  • Take at least 10 pictures everyday, of something that catches my eye
  • Bake something at least twice a month
That is all I can think of at this time. Although, I think this is good enough for me. I don't want to overdo it. Are you making any resolutions? I hope you can stick with them through the year!!! I hope I can!!!

Happy New Year to you all!

My 2014 New Year's Resolutions

I don't know why I make New Year's Resolutions each year, as I never keep them. But, I do it anyway. And, I will be make some for 2014.

One of the bigger resolutions I've decided to make for 2014 is to do one activity a month that takes me out of my comfort zone, as I am a very shy person.

I really want to have more experiences in life, but my extreme shyness prevents some of them from happening.

I never had very many friends growing up, and my self-esteem/confidence has been low as well.

Now that I'm an adult, I want to feel better about myself, I want to be more confident.

I hate feeling like everyone is judging everything I do and say. I am very self-conscious about how I look, what I do, what I say, and sometimes what I wear.

Outgoing people intimidate me, and I don't like crowds of people. I rarely raised my hand in school, and I don't usually start conversations unless I am with friends and family.

All of this makes me feel like not many people want to be friends with me. And that hurts. So, I really want to try and be more outgoing.

Girls' Day Out

Today, one of my friends and I got together to hang out. We went to Caribou Coffee, for a snack. I got a spicy chicken wrap and a hot chocolate. We then went to Border's to look around. I wanted to see if there is something I wanted, so I could use my gift card, but the stuff I wanted was too much, and I didn't have enough money for it. While there, I saw a girl I went to school with.
I hadn't seen her since high school, so it was a surprise to see her at Border's. But it was nice. We talked for a few minutes, and then went on our ways.
I can't believe 2009 is almost over. With all the birthdays, holidays, and what not, it went by too fast. For New Year's, I have a few resolutions I hope to keep. They are:

Clean my room and keep it clean

Become a vegetarian/eat healthier

Do better in school

I am going back to school this spring. I had to change my major, because my previous major, special education, was too much for me. I changed it to Hospitality. I am taking Success in College and Introdution to Hospitality. The Success in College class is on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and the Hospitality class is on Wednesdays. I can't wait to start back at school. I am really looking forward to being a pastry chef in the future.
Someday in the future, I actually would like to open up my own pastry/chocolate shop/restaurant. I think it would be really cool to sell stuff that I have made, to people who are willing to try my work.
I am hoping to also get a job, on the days I'm not in school. I am looking at Petco, Coldstone Creamery, Walgreens, the library, Border's, Barbara's Bookstore, the theater, and a few other places. I really hope I get a job soon, because I really need the money.
I'm also wishing I had a boyfriend. I haven't had one before, since I wanted to concentrate on school. I still want to concentrate on school, but now I want to do that with a man by my side. I'm in my mid 20's, and thought it would be time for a serious relationship.
I'm also hoping that in the new year, I start going back to church every week. I haven't gone in a while, due to family and personal reasons. I miss going to church. My family and I used to go the the Christmas mass, which I loved to do. I really want to get back in touch with my faith, and with God. So, until then, I will pray, read my Bible, and talk to God.
That's all for now. More soon.
