Well, the winter Olympics have started. The opening ceremonies were pretty cool.
A speed skater in the Olympics goes to my high school alma mater, so I am VERY happy that my town is represented this year.
I was surprised that the snowboarder Shaun White cut his hair. I loved his long curly hair; he looked good like that. He looks good with short hair too, but I like guys with long hair.
A few of the American athletes have already won Gold medals in their respective sports, so I'm happy.
I prefer the summer Olympics to the winter, as I am a warm weather person, but I like watching the winter Olympics as well.
Watching the snowboarding events has inspired me to want to try to learn how to snowboard.
The skiing events remind of of when I was in eighth grade, when the gym teachers took those who were interested, to a ski resort in Wisconsin, for a day of skiing.
I did alright until I got to the ski lift. I fell down as I was getting off of it at the top, which was VERY embarrassing for me. But, I got over it, and enjoyed the rest of the day.
I'm not an athletic person, but it's always fun to watch sports events, especially the Olympics.

Joni and Friends Retreats 2014
Well, it's time to start thinking about the Joni and Friends retreats. I really, really, really want to go to one, but they are a bit expensive.
I don't have a job yet, so I will somehow have to raise money for the trip. I am thinking about getting some babysitting jobs, to help with the expenses.
Hopefully, I can maybe get a seasonal job, or a part time job as soon as possible. I have my heart set on going, and I really don't want to miss out. I know they go on every year, but I really don't want to wait until next to go to my first retreat.
Hopefully things will work out. If not, then I will wait for next year. I just hope I get to go this year. Wish me luck!!

Time to Think About Spring Semester Classes
Well, registration for spring semester classes started today. I have already decided which classes I want to take. I just hope they won't be filled up when I register for them, and that they won't be cancelled before I can take them.
I am hoping to take a culinary mathematics class and an intro to baking/pastry class. Math is not my best subject, but I figured that since it's required, I might as well get it out of the way. Plus, I have brothers who are really good at math, so I can ask them to help me out when I need to.
Ever since I got to college, I have actually started to truly like and enjoy school, so I am looking forward to the spring semester. I hope the teachers are as nice as the ones I've had so far, especially for spring and Fall 2013.
So, bring it on, Spring 2014!!
