Well, the winter Olympics have started. The opening ceremonies were pretty cool.
A speed skater in the Olympics goes to my high school alma mater, so I am VERY happy that my town is represented this year.
I was surprised that the snowboarder Shaun White cut his hair. I loved his long curly hair; he looked good like that. He looks good with short hair too, but I like guys with long hair.
A few of the American athletes have already won Gold medals in their respective sports, so I'm happy.
I prefer the summer Olympics to the winter, as I am a warm weather person, but I like watching the winter Olympics as well.
Watching the snowboarding events has inspired me to want to try to learn how to snowboard.
The skiing events remind of of when I was in eighth grade, when the gym teachers took those who were interested, to a ski resort in Wisconsin, for a day of skiing.
I did alright until I got to the ski lift. I fell down as I was getting off of it at the top, which was VERY embarrassing for me. But, I got over it, and enjoyed the rest of the day.
I'm not an athletic person, but it's always fun to watch sports events, especially the Olympics.

Weekend Report
It is finally the weekend. I had Success in College this morning, which went well. I finished all the journal entries today, so I don't have any homework for this class. I got home around 11:30 this morning, so I have all of the afternoon off.
I have a couple assignments for my Hospitality class that I need to do. First, I have to read chapter 5. Then, I have to fill out this sheet, that describes events that have happened in my life. It's a good thing my Hospitality homework isn't due until Wednesday. I need more than one day to work on some homework.
Tonight, I might put a movie on for me to watch. And then I will probably take a nap. I need one.
Yesterday and today have been pretty warm, considering it's February. We got up to about 40 degrees both yesterday and today. That melted a lot of the snow, which I am happy about. I don't like winter much.
Right now, I'm watching the women's curling game (USA vs. Russia). So far, USA leads 3 to 1. Go USA!!!
As far as I know, I don't have any plans for Saturday and Sunday. Just relaxing. But I'll play it by ear, as far as plans go.
Yesterday, I got a recommendation from one of my high school teachers, for the Disability Summit. Now, I'm just waiting for the second recommendation. I also have to type up the answers to 4 essay questions. I'll probably do that this coming week.
I really hope I get to go to the summit this year. I went last year, and I had so much fun.
I also hope I get to go to TLC Camp this year, as a photographer. That was also a lot of fun. I can't wait until this summer.
Well, that's all for now. More to come later.

Valentine's Day and Beyond
I had a good Valentine's Day yesterday. I had a friend over to hang out. I made a card and some fudge for him. We played some games, ate, and talked a while. I had a good time. Today, I had my Success in College class. We did an in-class assignment, and the teacher handed back the quiz we took last week.
I passed with an A, so I'm happy about that. I am glad today was a short day, since I'm kind of tired right now. I will be taking a nap in a little while. I still have homework to do, that's due one Wednesday, for my Hospitality class.
As I am using the computer, I am watching Olympic skiing. Just now, a Canadian just won gold. Good job Canada.
Tomorrow, I will be working on my homework, and relaxing the rest of the day. Of course, I'll be watching the Olympics tomorrow, as part of my relaxing day.
That's all for now. More to come later.

This Weekend
Yesterday, I had my Success in College class. We were in the lab, working on a couple journals. We were allowed to leave after we were finished, which was nice. I was tired after school, so I wanted to take a nap. But, thanks to my mom, and the opening ceremony for the Winter Olympics, I didn't get one.
My mom made me cook dinner for my dad, then she made me go shopping with her. She then took me to the post office, so I can mail the application for a camp I hope to go to this summer. Then, I watched the opening ceremony, which was pretty cool. I liked it.
So far today, I had lunch, and used the computer. I will probably work on homework, and then make valentine's for my friends. I don't know if I would be able to see any of my friends this weekend, but I will make valentine's just in case. If I don't see them, I can always save them for next year.
I saw that the Illinois Disability Summit had put up the application on the website. So I hope to print it up this weekend. That is another thing I hope to look forward to this summer. I can't wait until this summer.

Snow Day
Today, we're supposed to have a really bad snowstorm, which ends tomorrow. We're supposed to get about a foot of snow in the end. We got a few inches so far, but right now, it looks like it's just barely snowing. I hate winter, and can't wait for spring to come.
I just hope I can get to school on time tomorrow. I take the bus, so I don't know if it will be on time. I hope so. But I am also hoping that classes will be cancelled tomorrow. At least I don't have any homework to turn in.
But I'm not going to be too hopefully. When I was in high school, we NEVER had a snow day, which I was not happy about.
Today, I just relaxed, since I did not have school today. Which is good, since it is probably really bad out. I might watch a movie later. Either Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince or Twilight.
Speaking of Twilight, the second movie in the series, New Moon, comes out next month, on the 20th. I can't wait until then.
This Friday is the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics. I don't like winter, but I love watching the Olympics. I will definitely be watching on Friday.
Sunday is Valentine's Day, though I don't have any plans yet. I hope I will soon. I really want to do stuff with friends. I don't have a boyfriend yet, but I don't need one to celebrate Valentine's Day. It can also be a day to have fun with friends.
Well, that's it for now. More to come soon.
