Earthquake in Illinois...Who'd've Thought?

Yesterday, just before 4 am, we got a 3.8 magnitude earthquake. I think I remember hearing a rumbling sound, but I don't remember feeling any shaking. I never thought we would ever get an earthquake, no matter what magnitude it is. Makes me think that anything can happen here, if we can get an earthquake.
I am so glad I don't have school today. I really do not want to be going out in this kind of weather. We got several inches of snow, it is freezing out, and the wind is harsh. I am so glad tomorrow is a short school day. I get out at 10:50 am.
So far today, I watched tv, ate lunch, and used the computer. Later tonight, I will be doing my Hospitality homework. Even though it isn't due until next Wednesday. It's good to get a head-start on it, so I don't have to worry about it later.
Tomorrow is the opening ceremony for the Winter Olympics. I will definitely be watching it, when it starts at 6:30 pm. I love watching the Olympians having fun while competing in their sports. It's fun to watch them.
Well, that's all for now. More to come soon.

Snow Day

Today, we're supposed to have a really bad snowstorm, which ends tomorrow. We're supposed to get about a foot of snow in the end. We got a few inches so far, but right now, it looks like it's just barely snowing. I hate winter, and can't wait for spring to come.
I just hope I can get to school on time tomorrow. I take the bus, so I don't know if it will be on time. I hope so. But I am also hoping that classes will be cancelled tomorrow. At least I don't have any homework to turn in.
But I'm not going to be too hopefully. When I was in high school, we NEVER had a snow day, which I was not happy about.
Today, I just relaxed, since I did not have school today. Which is good, since it is probably really bad out. I might watch a movie later. Either Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince or Twilight.
Speaking of Twilight, the second movie in the series, New Moon, comes out next month, on the 20th. I can't wait until then.
This Friday is the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics. I don't like winter, but I love watching the Olympics. I will definitely be watching on Friday.
Sunday is Valentine's Day, though I don't have any plans yet. I hope I will soon. I really want to do stuff with friends. I don't have a boyfriend yet, but I don't need one to celebrate Valentine's Day. It can also be a day to have fun with friends.
Well, that's it for now. More to come soon.

Start of Another Week

I just got home from school about 40 to 50 minutes ago. I did not get any homework today, which was nice. Now, I can just relax the rest of the day. It was a very easy day today, which I like.
Tomorrow, I have a doctor's appointment at 2:15 pm. I am not really looking forward to it, but I will have to go to it anyway. Just get it over with, and relax the rest of the day.
I wish it was spring already. I'm tired of the snow, and the cold. Though, it is starting to get warmer. It's supposed to be in the 30's today.
That's all for now. More to come later.

My Day

This morning, my mom woke me up around 8:30, and started nagging me about doing stuff around the house. That had stressed me out, and it took me a few hours to actually get around to doing it. After she left, I just wanted to rest a while, since I didn't sleep very well last night. And because of her stressing me out.
I am hoping I can have a few friends over this Saturday for a birthday party, weather permitting. We are getting quite a bit of snow today and tomorrow. I hope it doesn't snow on Saturday. My mom is freaking out about me having friends over, because the house is messy. It really isn't that bad here.
There isn't that much stuff laying around where I want to have my friends. It's been a while since I've had friends over, and I didn't get to celebrate my birthday with them. There are a few friends who I haven't seen in a while, and would like to see them again.
So let's hope I can have them over on Saturday.
