Sorry it's been so long since my last post. I've been kinda lazy when it comes to writing/blogging (obviously). Today, one of my friends, Eric, called me to invite me over to his house on Saturday. It's kind of a mix between a birthday get-together/hang-out. His birthday was on the 26th, so this is why he's having friends over.
He told me they might order pizza for dinner. I like pizza, so that's fine with me. I can't wait until Saturday.
Yesterday, one of my brothers (Steve) bought a new laptop, since the other one is dying. I like the new one, since it's bigger, and it's faster. Although, I wish I had my own laptop, since there are three other people who use the new laptop. But for now, I'm happy.
Also yesterday, I was watching 19 Kids and Counting, and in one of the episodes, the family hosted a few lemonade stands for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, to raise money for pediatric cancer. I've heard of the foundation before, but have forgotten about it.
I was inspired by that episode to host a lemonade stand myself, to raise money for the cause. I love children, and it breaks my heart to see them going through something like this. I really want to help out with researching a cure for cancer. Especially pediatric cancer.
No one should go through cancer, especially children. So I'm hoping I can get the word out about this, and get as many people as possible to donate, while having a cool, refreshing drink. The link to the website is here at Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation.
On a totally different note, Christmas was really good for me. For the first time in over a year, I felt truly happy that day. I don't know why, but I was really happy. My mom had died the year before, so I wasn't really 'happy' since then. But I'm not complaining. I'll take all the happy days I can get.
Well, that's all for now. More to come soon.
