Weekend Report

It is finally the weekend. I had Success in College this morning, which went well. I finished all the journal entries today, so I don't have any homework for this class. I got home around 11:30 this morning, so I have all of the afternoon off.
I have a couple assignments for my Hospitality class that I need to do. First, I have to read chapter 5. Then, I have to fill out this sheet, that describes events that have happened in my life. It's a good thing my Hospitality homework isn't due until Wednesday. I need more than one day to work on some homework.
Tonight, I might put a movie on for me to watch. And then I will probably take a nap. I need one.
Yesterday and today have been pretty warm, considering it's February. We got up to about 40 degrees both yesterday and today. That melted a lot of the snow, which I am happy about. I don't like winter much.
Right now, I'm watching the women's curling game (USA vs. Russia). So far, USA leads 3 to 1. Go USA!!!
As far as I know, I don't have any plans for Saturday and Sunday. Just relaxing. But I'll play it by ear, as far as plans go.
Yesterday, I got a recommendation from one of my high school teachers, for the Disability Summit. Now, I'm just waiting for the second recommendation. I also have to type up the answers to 4 essay questions. I'll probably do that this coming week.
I really hope I get to go to the summit this year. I went last year, and I had so much fun.
I also hope I get to go to TLC Camp this year, as a photographer. That was also a lot of fun. I can't wait until this summer.
Well, that's all for now. More to come later.

Valentine's Day and Beyond

I had a good Valentine's Day yesterday. I had a friend over to hang out. I made a card and some fudge for him. We played some games, ate, and talked a while. I had a good time. Today, I had my Success in College class. We did an in-class assignment, and the teacher handed back the quiz we took last week.
I passed with an A, so I'm happy about that. I am glad today was a short day, since I'm kind of tired right now. I will be taking a nap in a little while. I still have homework to do, that's due one Wednesday, for my Hospitality class.
As I am using the computer, I am watching Olympic skiing. Just now, a Canadian just won gold. Good job Canada.
Tomorrow, I will be working on my homework, and relaxing the rest of the day. Of course, I'll be watching the Olympics tomorrow, as part of my relaxing day.
That's all for now. More to come later.

This Weekend

Yesterday, I had my Success in College class. We were in the lab, working on a couple journals. We were allowed to leave after we were finished, which was nice. I was tired after school, so I wanted to take a nap. But, thanks to my mom, and the opening ceremony for the Winter Olympics, I didn't get one.
My mom made me cook dinner for my dad, then she made me go shopping with her. She then took me to the post office, so I can mail the application for a camp I hope to go to this summer. Then, I watched the opening ceremony, which was pretty cool. I liked it.
So far today, I had lunch, and used the computer. I will probably work on homework, and then make valentine's for my friends. I don't know if I would be able to see any of my friends this weekend, but I will make valentine's just in case. If I don't see them, I can always save them for next year.
I saw that the Illinois Disability Summit had put up the application on the website. So I hope to print it up this weekend. That is another thing I hope to look forward to this summer. I can't wait until this summer.

Earthquake in Illinois...Who'd've Thought?

Yesterday, just before 4 am, we got a 3.8 magnitude earthquake. I think I remember hearing a rumbling sound, but I don't remember feeling any shaking. I never thought we would ever get an earthquake, no matter what magnitude it is. Makes me think that anything can happen here, if we can get an earthquake.
I am so glad I don't have school today. I really do not want to be going out in this kind of weather. We got several inches of snow, it is freezing out, and the wind is harsh. I am so glad tomorrow is a short school day. I get out at 10:50 am.
So far today, I watched tv, ate lunch, and used the computer. Later tonight, I will be doing my Hospitality homework. Even though it isn't due until next Wednesday. It's good to get a head-start on it, so I don't have to worry about it later.
Tomorrow is the opening ceremony for the Winter Olympics. I will definitely be watching it, when it starts at 6:30 pm. I love watching the Olympians having fun while competing in their sports. It's fun to watch them.
Well, that's all for now. More to come soon.

Snow Day

Today, we're supposed to have a really bad snowstorm, which ends tomorrow. We're supposed to get about a foot of snow in the end. We got a few inches so far, but right now, it looks like it's just barely snowing. I hate winter, and can't wait for spring to come.
I just hope I can get to school on time tomorrow. I take the bus, so I don't know if it will be on time. I hope so. But I am also hoping that classes will be cancelled tomorrow. At least I don't have any homework to turn in.
But I'm not going to be too hopefully. When I was in high school, we NEVER had a snow day, which I was not happy about.
Today, I just relaxed, since I did not have school today. Which is good, since it is probably really bad out. I might watch a movie later. Either Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince or Twilight.
Speaking of Twilight, the second movie in the series, New Moon, comes out next month, on the 20th. I can't wait until then.
This Friday is the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics. I don't like winter, but I love watching the Olympics. I will definitely be watching on Friday.
Sunday is Valentine's Day, though I don't have any plans yet. I hope I will soon. I really want to do stuff with friends. I don't have a boyfriend yet, but I don't need one to celebrate Valentine's Day. It can also be a day to have fun with friends.
Well, that's it for now. More to come soon.

Today

I had my Success in College class today. There was a quiz in today's class, so there wasn't any homework. I am glad about that, because I've been tired pretty much the whole day. I need a day where I can just relax, without worrying about what's due the next day.
What got me mad was when I got on the bus this morning and when I sat down in the seat, the person next to me got up immediately and moved to another seat. He did not want to sit next to me for some reason, and that got me really mad, and upset.
I don't know why he did that, but to me, he was a jerk. I wish there weren't ignorant people like him in the world. Then I wouldn't be as upset as I am now.
We're supposed to get about a foot of snow in the next couple of days, which I am really not looking forward to. I hate snow, and I hate winter. When I can live on my own, I will live somewhere warm all the time, like Hawaii. Though, I do love my hometown of Chicago. A beautiful city; the most wonderful city in the U.S.
This Friday is the opening ceremony for the Winter Olympics. I don't like winter, but I do like watching the olympics. I can't wait for it to start.
Then, this Sunday is Valentine's Day. I don't have any plans yet, but I might do something with some friends. I do not have a boyfriend, but I don't need one to celebrate Valentine's Day.
Well, that's it for now. More to come soon.

TGIF

It is finally Friday. The week actually went by pretty fast, but I'm glad it's Friday. Wednesday, my mom took me to the eye doctor to check out what's going on with my right eye. I missed my Success in College class, thanks to her. Fortunately, I got the homework from that class, and finished it on time.
In my Hospitality class on Wednesday, we talked about our homework assignment, turned that and a take-home quiz in, reviewed chapter 2, and talked about tourism. It's a 3 hour class, but it seemed like it was shorter than that. I guess I enjoy my class enough to where I don't notice the time going by until the end of class.
Yesterday, I relaxed at home, and did my homework. That's pretty much all that happened yesterday. It's really nice to have a day off in between classes.
Today, I had Success in college. We were in the lab today, and I was able to finish the journal entries pretty quickly. I think I was the first one to finish them. We are allowed to leave after we finish, so I left, and went to the cafeteria to get lunch. I got a bagel, cream cheese and a thing of fruit snacks.
I had some of my lunch before the bus came. I came home around 11:40 am. I love having a half day on Fridays. Gives me a 2 1/2 day break between classes.
In my Success in College class, I got another A on an assignment, which I am really, really happy about. This is the first time I'm doing this well in class. I am happy about that, though. Makes me want to keep doing better in my classes.

Start of Another Week

I just got home from school about 40 to 50 minutes ago. I did not get any homework today, which was nice. Now, I can just relax the rest of the day. It was a very easy day today, which I like.
Tomorrow, I have a doctor's appointment at 2:15 pm. I am not really looking forward to it, but I will have to go to it anyway. Just get it over with, and relax the rest of the day.
I wish it was spring already. I'm tired of the snow, and the cold. Though, it is starting to get warmer. It's supposed to be in the 30's today.
That's all for now. More to come later.
